New England Patriots quarterback Cam Newton told the media he has nothing to prove to anyone

Quarterback Cam Newton had his first media availability as a member of the New England Patriots and he used it to emphatically state he has nothing to prove. He also added that he is a self motivator and didn't need snubs from other teams in free agency to serve as motivation.
